Lenovo India has launched the Legion T5 desktop PC in India and is now available for purchase on the official Lenovo online Store at Rs 1,49,990. The Legion T5 offers a strong combination of hardware, legion aesthetics and pricing. Considering the current silicon shortage and pricing of RTX 3000 series GPUs, the Desktop is priced rather modestly for the specification it offers. You also get 3-year warranty from Lenovo which should ease your worries.

The Legion T5 is currently available only with a Ryzen 7 3700x and an RTX 3070 pairing. The full specifications are listed below.

Our thoughts on the device

From the specifications listed on the official product page, there seem to be some conflicting specifications as compared to those listed on the Lenovo PSREF website for the same model. We hold no responsibility for the accuracy of the above mentioned specifications and have only published the data as seen on Lenovo websites as of the time of writing this article.

Disclaimer aside, the choice of the Ryzen 3000 series Zen 2 based CPU is something we wish that could have been replaced with a Ryzen 5 5600x based on the newer Ryzen 5000 series with Zen 3 architecture which would have lowered the cost as well as offered the same or better gaming experience. As for the rest of the specifications, they are fairly balanced with a b550 chipset custom motherboard with 3x m.2 slots (one of which is occupied by the wifi/bluetooth module), RTX 3070, 16 GB dual channel memory running at 3200mhz (with additional 2 slots available), an efficient 650w PSU and decent selection I/O ports as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Honestly, there is not a lot to complain or ask for here. It offers a 1 TB HDD along with a 512 GB SSD as well which should be enough for regular data storage as well as for fast read/write requirements respectively.

The case is also appreciable with a mesh front panel branded with a light-up Legion logo which we thought looks pretty good. For the cooling, there is a 65w cooler mentioned in the listing which should be just sufficient for default configuration, and for any sort of overclocking or for sustained boost clocks, you will likely require a third part AIO or air cooler. For most users, the stock cooler should be sufficient. For the overall airflow of the case, there are 3 fans pre-installed in the case with 2 ARGB Fans on the front and 1 in the rear. Since all are ARGB fans, you should be able to customize the colors to your liking.

Additionally, you also get a basic Keyboard and Mouse from Lenovo included with the Legion T5.

Should you get this?

Anyone looking for a pre-built Desktop PC won't likely be disappointed by the Legion T5 in terms of specifications, pricing or performance. If you don't want to go through the hassle of building a PC or don't want to get a custom pre-built, this is an excellent choice for a pre-configured desktop PC and there are not a lot of pre-configured desktop PCs we would say the same about. The choice of the last gen CPU is still something we are not convinced about so far as gaming is concerned. However, there shouldn't be a lot of difference against newer generation CPUs especially if you are playing at QHD or 4K resolutions. These higher resolutions are in fact something that we would recommend since the RTX 3070 is a very capable card that can push a lot of frames and you would likely be leaving performance on the table by pairing it with an FHD 1080p monitor. However, there is nothing wrong with playing at FHD either, should you want to opt for that.

Use code UNBOX to get Rs 1,500 off for an effective price of just Rs 1,48,490. If that does not work, use code LENGOD for additional Rs 1,500 off from selling price of Rs 1,49,990. Also, look out for other bank offers which may be applicable.
