Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 Alan Walker Edition was launched on 18th August 2021 worldwide and was available in India on the same day as well from Amazon.in. The Alan Walker Edition variant that has been launched in India is priced at Rs 1,49,990 and features a power efficient 8 core Ryzen 9 5900hs and an RTX 3050ti 4 GB GPU (75W TGP). While this is not different internally from the regular Zephyrus G14, it does feature a lot of Alan Walker logo branding and an exclusive packaging that doubles as a mini DJ sampler. As for should you get this, here is what we think. If you are someone who likes exclusive products or limited edition products, this could very well be for you. Even more so if you are an Alan Walker fan looking for a pretty good, portable powerhouse that packs a lot of performance (CPU performance in particular) while weighing in at just 1.7 Kg. It could also be a good pick for creators or designers considering that it also offers a very sharp QHD display with a wide 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. This may not attract everyone from a value perspective since it is a niche and exclusive / limited edition product and hence like all other items that belong to similar category, this doesn't offer the best value.
Who shouldn't get this?
For those who are looking to get the best performing laptops for the price and does not need as much portability (regular performance oriented laptops weigh around 2.3Kg) may look into other alternatives like the Legion 5 Pro or Asus Strix lineups or even the Asus Rog Zephyrus G15 lineup which has a lot more to offer in terms of overall performance.
