What to expect?
High end CPUs (also referred to as processors) - Intel Core i7 / Ryzen 7 / 9
High end GPU - 6 GB graphics or higher
Ram - 16 GB or higher
Laptop below Rs 1,35,000
The softwares used, determines the specification requirement of the laptop. For Architects most applications except rendering softwares such as Lumion, TwinMotion etc are CPU Intensive applications, which means these applications won't benefit from a high end GPU and all or most of the tasks are handled by the CPU alone. However, this is not the case with applications like Lumion, Twinmotion and other GPU intensive applications. Lately, CPU based rendering plugin V-ray has also enabled GPU rendering support and applications like AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit can also make use of GPU through GPU accelerated performance/hardware accelerated performance. So, a good GPU will help most applications and it is recommended to have one, especially if you're a designer or Architect who will be using GPU intensive applications.

ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513QM-HN319TS is a 15.6in notebook powered by the latest Ryzen 5800H from the Ryzen 5000 series CPUs and RTX 3060 from the RTX 3000 series with some of the highest wattage which means among the RTX 3060 laptops, this has a much higher potential / room for GPU performance. Paired with 16 GB of ram and 1 TB SSD, it checks about every box and offers excellent performance for the price. The display is the only downside which does not have as much color gamut as the others in this list. While this doesn't affect performance, it is still expected of a laptop at this price point to have full 100% sRGB color gamut. HP Omen 15-en1036ax is a 15.6in notebook powered by the Ryzen 7 5800H 8 core CPU and an RTX 3060 6 GB GPU. Paired with 16 GB of ram, 1 TB HDD and 256 GB of SSD, it checks about every box and offers excellent performance for the price. With a good set of CPU and GPU, sufficient storage and ram along with a color accurate 100% sRGB display, there's not much to for either but since the availability and pricing is unknown as of yet, it can only be expected to be priced in this price range. Nevertheless, the Helios 300 also exists which offers similar specification and is readily available, so that can be an excellent alternative. Bottom line: Good set of specifications and can get the job done. May not offer the best value and there may be lower priced alternatives available.

ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX516PM-AZ153TS is a 15.6in notebook powered by the Intel Core i7 11370H 4 core CPU and an RTX 3060 6 GB GPU. Paired with 16 GB of ram and 1 TB SSD, the CPU might seem questionable due to it only having "4 cores". The CPU is an efficient low power consuming 4 core CPU with excellent single core speeds and should be able to run most programs with ease and will only hold back in programs that heavily depend on multi threaded performance. On the brighter side, due to the efficient chip, the thermals are better and the laptop offers excellent battery life as well in that sleek form factor. It also has a good display with 100% sRGB color gamut. While the price is somewhat on the higher side, it does target a niche of users who requires the portability and battery life while being able to perform well when needed. Bottom line: Excellent VFM laptop in this price category. An easy pick and a no brainer.

Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45 is a 15.6in notebook powered by the Ryzen 7 5800H 8 core CPU and an RTX 3060 6 GB GPU. Paired with 16 GB of ram and 1 TB SSD, the hardware specifications are quite satisfactory. The primary selling factor however would be the presence of a QHD or 2K resolution display with 100% sRGB color gamut at this price point. While the graphics card wattage might not be as high as the rest of the offerings in this list, the display might just make getting this worth it (if you're a fan of good sharp displays). Lenovo Legion 5Pi 82AW006SIN is a 15.6in notebook powered by the Intel i7 10870H 8 core CPU and an RTX 2060 6 GB GPU. Paired with 16 GB of ram and 1 TB SSD, the hardware specifications are quite satisfactory despite being from the previous gen. The primary reason this laptop made it to this list is due to its overall experience from performance to build and display quality. It is suggested to opt for the newer generation, higher end laptops first and then only if unavailable to prioritize these previous gen laptops such as the Legion 5 / 5Pi / HP Omen 15.
